Advanced Ethnographic Methods with Niko Besnier, Department of Social Inquiry, La Trobe University https://dresa.org.au/events/advanced-ethnographic-methods-with-niko-besnier-department-of-social-inquiry-la-trobe-university This advanced workshop focuses on topics in contemporary ethnographic research. Classic ethnography (long term, focused on a single location, addressing academic questions) is often not desirable or feasible, as was dramatically illustrated during the pandemic. In this workshop, participants will explore new ways of conducting ethnographic research, exploring areas such as multi-sited ethnography, digital ethnography, collecting and utilizing naturalistic interaction data, collaborative and team-based ethnography, rapid ethnography, and the application of ethnographic methods to research in the non-profit sector and industry, crucial for conducting ethnographic research in the contemporary world. 2025-01-29 19:00:00 UTC 2025-01-31 21:00:00 UTC Niko Besnier, Department of Social Inquiry, La Trobe University Instats info@instats.org [] [] [] open_to_all []
