Sample Size Calculation Workshop (hybrid)
8 November 2024
Sample Size Calculation Workshop (hybrid) https://pay.latrobe.edu.au/EvProvost/booking?e=PRO_EV086 https://dresa.org.au/events/sample-size-calculation-workshop-hybrid-7cc69ab1-fbdd-4f9e-b466-d9fa8a5fa43c How many samples or participants do I need to address my research question? What do I need to consider when determining the sample size? What happens if I can’t control the sample size? How can I minimise cost while maximising performance? In this one-day workshop, you will learn how to use statistical concepts, such as Power and effective size, to answer the questions above. You will also learn how to use a free software G*Power to optimise sample sizes, calculate effective sizes, graphically display results for Power analyses and conduct relevant statistical tests such as ANOVA and t-tests. This workshop is ideal for researchers who work in a field where sample size plays an important role, such as clinical and pre-clinical research, -omics studies and market research. Anyone who is interested in statistics and sample size analysis is also encouraged to attend. 2024-11-08 09:00:00 UTC 2024-11-08 15:00:00 UTC La Trobe University Statistics Consultancy Platform Physical Sciences 2, Room 330 (Kurt Gödel Lab), or online via Zoom., Bundoora, Australia Physical Sciences 2, Room 330 (Kurt Gödel Lab), or online via Zoom.
